Mother’s Day Craft on May 6, 2018

Springtime at the Miller-Cory House Museum

Mother’s Day and flowers – a perfect combination!  On May 6, 2:00 to 4:00, the Miller-Cory House Museum will present “Mother’s Day Craft and House Tours.”   Children can make a colorful bouquet of festive paper flowers for that special someone.  Volunteers will be available to guide visitors through the fully furnished, pre-revolutionary farmhouse, built in 1740.  Members of the Cooking Committee will demonstrate authentic 18th century open-hearth cooking using colonial-era recipes and techniques.  The craft is appropriate for ages 6 through elementary school.  Admission is $4.00 for age 13 and older, $3.00 for ages 3 to 12, and free under age 3.  No reservations are required; however, the museum requests that groups of 10 or larger call in advance to arrange a specific time for visiting.
